[MV] Clean Air Kits for multifuel engine?

Hey all:

I have been following the discussion about the upgrading the LD465 normally
aspirated engine to turbo, and all of the points are well taken, however, I
was chatting with a CWO who ran a DX or GS shop for the army and he tells me
of a upgrade kit called a clean air kit, or maybe clean burn kit they
installed that removed the muffler, installed a turbo and the appropriate
oil lined and air breather hoses, installed the larger type exhaust stack
and sent the trucks on their way.

I questioned him about the injection pump timing, and the pistons etc, he
stated the they were not changed, and the trucks work fine. Cohobating this
is a M109 that he upgraded 4 years ago, that has over 4,000 miles since
upgrade with no problem.

Any comments, has anyone else heard of this upgrade? I want to do it to my
M109, but am put off by some of the doom and gloom that I heard on the list.

Hank
