[MV] MO-GAS

I saw a M-880 Dodge truck at a Drug Task Force auction yesterday that
was still pretty much in military trim - cammo paint, jerry can tray in
rear of bed, pintle hitch, bridge plate, mil. light switch, etc. Above
the gas filler cap, it had stenciled "Mo-Gas". What exactly is Mo-Gas
and would this vehicle run on regular pump gas w/o re-jetting the carb,
etc.? They couldn't get this one to start except on ether. One opinion
was the fuel pump and the other was the electronic ceramic ignition
relay was bad. Someone must have known more than I did about it because
it brought $1650 which I thought was pretty high for a non-running truck
with no way to test the transmission and drive line, although the tires
were pretty good and there was a minimum of rust. They said it had not
run for about 4 years at least and maybe as much as 7. What is a
reasonable price for one of these trucks in average condition and
running? I am going to an auction in a couple of weeks where there are
several of them.
Thanks,
Steve
