Lars, sorry I missed the previous invitation that you mentioned. Maybe you
should have posted it more than once, or did you ? Since the List exists to
discuss issues related to the ownership of HMVs (as Arthur points out
repeatedly) I feel that the conduct of the MVPA's B of D is a valid topic.
Please feel free to hit the delete key on any of my further messages.
Should you still be reading, I would like to ask you for your suggestions
on how to work within the MVPA for change ? As my posting pointed out, the
current leadership has 100% control but has falsely created the appearance
of a democratic organization. They do not allow change ! Sure, you can sit
back and enjoy the magazines as you do not live in the US. Your ability to
own HMVs is not threatened and is not dependent on successful lobbying by
the MVPA, as your representative organization. They have one chance to get
it right and if they fail all the US members may someday loose the ability
to own "that old tank". As a Canadian, such a loss would be a disaster for
me as the US is my main source of vehicles to restore, spare parts and a
market to sell my HMV when the desire strikes to restore another "Old
Soldier". I do not believe that you have even that much to
loose.Robert(Toronto)
