Ron, I was under the impression those were put on post war....
I have 11 WWII dated, /!\ marked cans and none had the plate you speak
of. Although a MV dealer who brings in loads of stuff from Germany has
had German marked cans with those on them.
As a captured Brit can being marked? I can see it. Just don't know
when it started.
Good question for the list.. Look forward to seeing the answer from
more knowledgeable members.
