SUBJ: THREE KINGS starring George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg

A poor remake of the Kelly's Hero's concept taking place in Kuwait/Iraq
during operation DESERT STORM. Clooney is a reserve army Major in a Psyop
warfare/civil affairs unit who comes across info that Saddam Hussein has
stolen Kuwaiti gold stored at a secret place. He assembles a team of
misfits to go after it; you see the usual period MV's incl Humvee variants
and other vehicles. There are stupid characters acting on ignorant scripts
lending general discredit to the way military org works. Wherein KELLY'S
HEROS was plausible - Kelly and Savalas at least ran the outfit with some
military decorum and military SOP's; the combination of bad writing and
mediocre acting on most of the actors makes this a movie (THREE KINGS)that
is not worth seeing, despite the fact that some of the actors could actually
act - like Clooney. Bad writing, plot and script overshadowed everything
else.

Sorry...

Hi List,
a new movie is planned here for next week: "Three Kings" (starring the Dr.
of "E.R." of TV fame, sorry its name escapes me at the moment... Clooney or
something?).
I have been told that it is a sort of remake of "Kelly's Heroes" (Clint
Eastwood!) because of a gold load (in Vietnam)...

It is a good movie? Any interesting mil-veh? Any more info for a war movie
(also western!) addict like me?

Regards and
Get Them Rolling!
