A rep from Advanced Lubrication informed me multi-grade engine oils with a
large viscosity range are generally not as good as those with a smaller
range. He cautioned against anything over a 20wt range; for example, use
5-20 or 10-30 rather than 5-30 or 10-40. Any "experts" on our list care to
comment?
