Methylene Chloride is/was used commonly for stripping aluminum in the
aircraft industry. It is available at Home Depot and other home & hardware
outlets (in the US) in one gallon cans as "Aircraft Stripper." Due to the
hazmats, it is not as commonly used for aircraft as it once was.

Has anyone got any preferences on chemical stripper for use on small
aluminum panels that are painted with CARC. I would prefer stripper rather
than sandblasting if possible.
