Hey guys
Speaking as a painter and done all the wrong things, here is a tip, keep
it simple.Any good stripper will do,if it says extra strength, epoxy
remover, good Use an old brush and hog it on,then leave it.Let the
material do the work.If your too light it will dry and lift little.when
it wrinkles brush it off wipe, scrape whatever,it should be easy to
move...But if your forcing it then trouble may ensue, scratches
,dings, cuts and tired backs. If the first coat didn't get it,do
another.Patience is the key, and timing.A boat finisher showed me.when I
got it ,be generous with the stuff. As for M.E.K.,and other 'Hot'
solvents,as stuck in the past as I am,the passing away of these products
and the like will be remembered fondly as bullets flying past,a better
tale than experience! Get a good respirator, rubber gloves and don't
subject the family to your fumes, they are right, you do stink! As I tell
the guys, when in doubt, read the label....I've a project coming soon with
a truck,WC51, I'm looking forward to troop seats and floor
restoration.Gillespie's sound good,any comments?
Take care of your health, Steve
