Dave,

This list and the MVPA type rallys is a great place to see and hear
about restored MVs. THey are also a great resource for hard to find
parts and the invaluable help with diagnosis and repairs of a unique
class of vehicles. I am a firm believer of doing with YOUR stuff what
YOU want...as long as you don't misrepresent your vehicle, go for it!
You may not win any Mil Veh contests, but check out local car clubs and
shows. I saw a Willys that was made up of an M38 grill, CJ2A tub, CJ3A
or M38 windshield frame painted gloss black with lots of bondo and
honestly goofy tail lights. It was parked within 20 feet of a beautiful
'Vette. The owner was proud enough of his jeep to enter it into a show
and it happened to be the only jeep there. (reason enough for me to stop
!) I can't wait to drive my M38A1 to a show!
Bottom line is: It's your toys, play with them as you like.
