Anyone remember a few years back a story about Lemel Jeeters? This is a
black architect (not some low-life gangbanger) who was convicted of
robbery. He protested his innocence and went through all the system...
appeals and everything and still sat in prision. Somehow his story got to
either 20/20 or 60 minutes. TV show went out and investigated in depth.
Bottom line: It was physically proven Jeeters could not have done it. Court
ordered him released.

My point? Collecting and restoring of MVs not only keep American history
alive but give it interest and body. MVs are living memorials to every
person who ever served in the military; they raise questions from children
which can be answered with a history lesson about war, suffering,
patriotism, heroism, and plain simple pride of country.

I suggest with the large number of collectors and their friends out there
someone must have an "in" w/one of the shows I mentioned. Bring it to
their attention. Heck, a show on regular people who collect and restore
MSs would not only be interesting but a nice piece of "eye candy". Let
20/20 or 60 minutes go and interview Representative Spence and have him
explain on camera how his portion of the bill mandating demilling will help
our country and make the America safe. Turn the spotlight on the whole
thing and get some weight behind us. Remember, the word processor is
mighter than the sword.

Just do it.

OK, that's my 2mm worth.

David
