These two companies usually carry various gear from that family of
radios:

    Fair Radio Sales
    Murphy's Surplus Warehouse

I've also gotten some antenna parts from:

    Front Line Military Vehicles
(warning: their on-line price list may be woefully out of date)

I've seen surplus installation kits for various vehicles here and
there:

    Owens Export Service
Ebay (an on-line auction, as you probably know)

Of course, swap meet prices are generally cheaper than dealer prices,
plus you get to eyeball and grope the goods before you buy it.

Links to all of those companies (except Ebay, which is at
www.ebay.com) live on my web page, but I'm too lazy to cut and paste
them into this message for you. :-) If you dig around a bit, you'll
also find pictures of my "by the book" VRC-47 installation in my M998
HMMWV. I have installation instructions for installing certain members
of that family of radios in a couple other kinds of vehicles on my web
page, too.

Good luck, and have fun!
