Fair Radio Sales, Lima, OH had 524's as of about a year or two ago (they have
a website now), along with the IKE kits. Mike Murphy in CA may have
some, but the last time I talked to him about the radios some years back,
he said he only had a few "hollowed out for use as remotes or something."

One fellow I've had previous dealings with, and his stuff is first rate, would
be Gary Johnson in Kentucky. Haven't talked to him in a
couple of years (since mytoy budget got curtailed!), but he had AN/VIC-1's,
C-2299's and C-2298's, 25/77's, and 524's and 442's. Much of his stuff
appears
to come fresh from LBAD rebuild!

Gary's contact info as follows: Gary A. Johnson
                                                   608 1/2 College St.
                                                   Winchester, KY 40391
                                                   (606) 745-4018
                           (606) 745-4453 fax

Word of warning on some of the 'deals' to be found at conventions - frequently
77's and 524's - with extremely pretty exteriors wearing LBAD rebuild
stickers. Open the damn things up before you purchase them. I've inspected
a couple of these for potential buyers only to find them absolutely chock
full of salt-water residue and beach-sand, despite no evidence of same
being visible from the usual buyer's cursory inspection of the exterior.
I've seen
four or five of these things now, so caveat emptor (I would like to stress
at this point that NONE of Gary's are so afflicted.)

Usual disclaimers apply,
