Hi Doug,

   The daa plate serial # on the dash should match the one on the
fenderwell. Both of my '54 M38A1s have matching data plate serial #'s. As
for the posi. differentials, this is a sign of the 'A1 being a unit from the
Marine Corps, unless it was modified, of course.
