Ok, folks....
I have an M35A2, with a turbo and have nothing resembling a Pyrometer.
Should I have one?
ifso
Where should I get it and where should I put it, and by this email maybe I
need 2 one in each spot?

With vague dis-quiet......

Jonathan,

885?? Don't touch it!!! LEAVE IT ALONE!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot stress this
highly enough. IF the sensor is mounted AFTER the turbo

First go out to your truck and lift the hood all the way up....walk to
co-driver's side and peer into the gloom that is your engine bay. Look at
the turbo specifically for the capillary tube for the pyrometer, if it is
mounted between the engine and the turbo the limit for the pyrometer is 1200
F. If it is mounted between the turbo and the exhaust stack IE: the side
where the muffler would be if equipped then the limit is 900F.
TOPS!!!!!!!!!! Go beyond either of these limits depending on where the
sensor is mounted and expect minor problems like religious pistons (remember
to pray before the Great Hercules God ) cracked heads, liners,
melted/cracked exhaust manifolds. Not to mention the odd melted/warped/stuck
valves and impulse powered cylinder heads <warped> you want more power buy a
five ton Mack with the good old 672 Maxidyne in it.
Remember if the sensor is after the turbo and reads 885 F. leave it
alone....if it seems a little bit underpowered climbing the hill kindly stay
in the right lane.
