Kelvinator Nash was a refridgerator maunfacturer who tuned their hand to
making trailers.Ford assembled B17's at Willow Run.

Was Diamond T a motor manufaturer before WW2? I am told they were a shoe
manufacturer - or is that an urban legend that was laid down before urban
legends were invented?

And on a British note, some of the inflatable rubber tanks made by Dunlop
that were used in Operation Fortitude South (- the vast deception scheme for
the D-Day invasion) were kitted out in the Dormobile Factory in Folkestone.
It wasnt called Doormobile then, because the Brits hadnt yet invented the
more sensiblly sized version of the Winebago, albeit which during the 60's
and 70's joined forces with the caravan owners to frustrate motorists in any
type of a hurry throughout the holiday seasons.
