Re: [MV] Late comments on WTC attacks

The vast majority of Muslims (99%+) are as outraged as everyone else on this
list regarding the WTCs. There were several hundred Muslims working in the
WTC when the planes hit. The planes, fires, and explosions did not distinguish
between religions. There are dead Muslims, Christians, Jews and people of
several other religions laying in that mass grave in NYC side by side. Most of
them were Americans.

To try and answer #1 - Don't become confused between what extremists say and
what main line Muslims say. You don't believe that what Timothy McVeigh said
represented Christians right? Don't think for a moment that what the extremist
Muslims say represents Islam. Until this atrocity occurred I had never heard
of the 69 or 7 virgins or whatever waiting in heaven and I have read a large
part of the Koran. The "kill the infidels" line is something out of a movie or
a bad excerpt from the Koran. I can pull lines our the bible that have been
used to wage war also. Most of the lines are used out of context. I don't know
what Moslems or Muslims (same thing - last spelling is thought to be more
correct) you had contact with who thought they were too stupid to understand.
It incorporates the teachings of the Bibles Old Testament. Many of the Old
Testament stories are also part of the Koran. Jesus and Mohammed are both
Prophets in the Islam religion. There are an incredible number of
similarities. If you are a bad Muslim in this life you will pay for it on
judgment day. If you step back several paces, and look at Judaism,
Christianity, and Islam, they start to look very similar. They really should,
since they all started in the same region of the world.

#2 - I didn't hear about that, however once again, don't think that what some
idiots do represents the entire religion. Bill Clinton is a Christian also, but
many people disagree with his morals.

#3 - Like I said, people do all kinds of things and say they are doing it for
religious reasons - that doesn't make it right.

#4 - I have no idea.

#5 - I don't believe that. There may be 50,000 idiots in the US willing to take
up war with the US, but I sincerely doubt they are all Muslim Terrorists. If
that was the case we would have had a lot more terrorist acts in this country
long before now.

Below is an excerpt from a major Muslim website in the US. Use your own
judgment:

_____________________
Terrorists are nobody's friend. Terrorism has never helped anyone.
Terrorists do, however, always help the cause of anti-Islamic forces.

We had a beautiful update ready for this morning that dealt with how to
relate to our neighbors but we are postponing that for something which is
hurting our neighbors.

As you know by now, terrorists have destroyed the twin towers of the World
Trade Center in New York city, as well as bombing several locations in
Washington, DC and Pennsylvania. Hundreds of our neighbors have been
killed.

In the past, when acts of terrorism have occurred, the American media has
been quick to point fingers at Muslims, resulting in neighbor turning
against neighbor, harassment, threats and attacks on Muslim institutions
in this country.

We are issuing this guide in the wake of the latest incident to help
Muslims deal with this situation.

Remember that you have not done anything. You have not committed a
terrorist act, killed or harmed anyone, so you have nothing to be
defensive, guilty or apologetic about.

This is a critical time for Dua (supplication). There is no power or
ability except with Allah. He is our Protector and He is in control. Pray
to Allah for the victims and the safety of others.

If we do go to war, it will not be a holy war between religions (unless our
leaders are stupid enough to do tout that!) Muslim Americans will be flying
jets, dropping bomb, and shooting our enemies on our behalf as will Christian
and Jewish Americans. And many of them will die. Missiles, bombs and bullets
don't discriminate between religious believers.
