Just got my new data plates from Rapco for my M38A1.....

G'Mornin All,

1. Per answering machine instructions @ Rapco: Left voicemail with
description of data plates, shipping address and cc #(that was a little
creepy but I trust folks on the MilVeh list). Took about a minute.

2. Waited patiently about a week.

3. Package arrives with two small (but heavy) envelopes.

4. Opened envelopes

5. Wow!!!! I love my new data plates!!! I may have to repaint the M38A1 to
do the data plates justice! Raised brass plates, blackened backgrounds,
shiny, glossy, Willy/Overland plate (that I didn't know was missing-where
does the white one go?).

6. I expected a salvaged plate but am much happier with these new plates.

7. I need to strip the back plate and repaint it, then attach the new
plates. Anybody know where I can get the rivets?
