I DON'T HAVE MY BOOKS AT THE MOMENT...BUT THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT 109 BODIES.
ONE HAS 5 SIDE WINDOWS, THE LATER ONE HAS 3 SIDE WINDOWS....AS LONG AS YOU
MATCH THE WINDOW COUNT, EVERYTHING SHOULD WORK THE SAME.
-- Are sheetmetal parts (fenders, hoods, etc) available for these
 trucks?
MEMPHIS EQUIPMENT CAN SUPPLY ALL OF THESE.
     -- What about mechanical parts?
DITTO
-- What are the important (hard to get) parts that it should have. >>

THE TRANSMISSION IS USUALLY THE SORE POINT ON THESE...IT IS LIQUID COOLED, SO
MAKE SURE IT HAS NOT FROZEN...DOES IT HAVE ANTIFREEZE IN IT? AFTER THE
INITIAL PRODUCTION (302M), THE TRANSMISSION'S PROBLEMS WERE RESOLVED (303M),
THE CANADIANS USED THESE FOR MANY YEARS AFTER THE US QUIT. THE PROBLEM IN
CIVILIAN USE (WHICH WITH A VAN TYPE BODY IS UNLIKELY) IS THE TRUCK LOOKS SO
ROBUST THAT THEY ARE USUALLY GROSSLY OVERLOADED. THE TRANSMISSION IS FOR A 2
1/2 TON CROSS COUNTRY, 5 TON ON ROAD PAYLOAD IN THE TRUCK. MORE THAN THAT
YOU ARE LOOKING FOR PROBLEMS, ESPECIALLY IN REVERSE.

ENJOY YOUR PROJECT!!!!

Hope this helps,
David
