You have time and sweat invested in the URL, it is worth a Bunch to them.
1. you could make them pay out the nose for it.
2. you could rent space on your URL to them.
3. you could make em hire you as their web developer, as a contractor.

Just don't give it to em w/o a fight, and do get a copyright and patents
lawyer.
And let em know how you feel about the way they have acted.

With all the talk recently about Government Liquidations I thought I
would pass on a bit of perspective. Since May 1998 I have maintained a
website at www.cadillacgage.com, devoted to the Commando series of
armored cars.

Monday I was contacted by a representative of Textron Marine and Land
Systems , the current owners of Cadillac Gage, requesting (more like
informing me) that I transfer ownership of the domain name to them and
in return they would reimburse me for the purchase of a domain name that
was to be in no way affilliated with the Cadillac Gage name and they
would graciously grant me permission to continue to use there sales
brochures and photos on the web.

I have contacted Textron on several different occasions requesting
information and archive information and each time been meet with
indifference or silence. Now that I have something they want I get some
attention.

I have paid out of pocket for the last 4 years for the hosting and taken
time and effort to both build the website and assist police departments
and modelers as well as talked to a few veterans about there experiences
with these vehicles. To state that I was put off by there offer would be
an understatement.

My point of this wandering email , while Government Liquidations stands
to make money off of our purchases and it is in there vested interests
to work with us, at least they have taken the time to actually find out
what our complaints and suggestions are, unlike others who look at us as
a odd group of enthusiasts.

The other point is to enjoy the Cadillac Gage website while it still
exists. I will keep the list informed of what eventually happens.
