The fuel pump should have a heat shield of some sort..If you (he) can get
it, racers use an anti- heat blanket on their starters etc. I know it's
available from Summit Racing Equipment (part # dei-010402) and wrap the fuel
line with a similar material(dei-010403). Hope this helps, Brian
