M38A1 Screw Size Needed

Can anyone tell me the size of the flat head screws used to hold the
windshield support bracket to the windshield frame. A friend has asked for
help in obtaining some new screws and I don't have any reference books on
M38A1's. These are the flat head screw and I think they are about 3/8" in
diameter.
