>Ok guys thanks for all the wonderful information! I have decided to buy a
truck from tacticaltruck.com instead of the one I was looking at. He has a
nice truck with a winch and turbo so the dilemma is over. I am driving to VA
to pick it up Friday, its going to be a 10 hour haul for me but I look
forward to the "big adventure". Anything I should know about driving one of
these babies on the interstate for 10 hours? Thanks.

Here's my list:
Ear plugs. Ear plugs. Ear plugs (I know you have been told this, but if
you don't take ear plugs your head will explode after about 3 hours).
100 Gallons of water (you can't have too much extra coolant)
10 Gallons of motor oil
One case of WD-40. No telling what will be stuck but after a couple of
hours you'll know.
A test light that will work on 24 Volts.
A spare fuse for the fuel pump (I still haven't gotten one)
The air hose is a great idea. A slow leak can be topped of every couple of
hours easier than you can change a tire.
And of course a air gauge.
Silicon brake fluid (again)
Some padding for the seat. It may be a bunch of springs like mine was.

If you are a little apprehensive, take a F-700 and a 9 ton trailer too.

Be sure to take the top off and open the windshield a little bit and you can
get those bugs in your teeth just like a Harley - you will be grinning
allot.

Don't worry about the brakes, you'll only have to stop a few times (yea I'm
kidding. I drove 2 hours home with no brakes and I advise against that).

Make sure the folks you buy from show you how to use the lights. If they're
not switched on you don't have brake of signal lights.

One last thing, pay attention to your shift pattern. I shifted from 3rd to
5th and thought "this thing won't hardly go". Next time I stopped I noticed
the pattern on the dash. I looked around to see if anyone I knew was
looking (I always do that when I have done something dumb, it's a habit).

Have a lovely trip and watch those gauges.
Joe Trapp.
