I bought a standard Costco carport for something like $160. They are 10 feet wide, 20 feet long, and about 10 feet high in the center. OK, that's not high
enough. Next, you go to the hardware store and buy some 2" PVC pipe (really, really cheap) and cut the pipe into oh, 3 feet long sections and slide them over the
vertical support poles that came with the carport to extend the supports a couple of feet, or whatever you want.. It's a perfect fit. Run some sheet metal screws
through the plastic pipe into the metal supports and you've just raised the carport to 12 feet. The sidewalls will not make it all the way to the ground, but it's
not such a bad thing. It allows more air to circulate, anyway. Kinda looks like a pair of high-water pants, but I live in a rural area, so it doesn't matter.
These carports are really durable. A friend of mine has had one up for probably 10 years, now. The material is resistant to UV. It's not like the usual, junky
blue tarps. This stuff lasts. Mine has survived several snowfalls. I have a M75 APC under one that I extended. The M75 is over 9' wide and 9' tall.
    Just my $0.02.
