sand blasting has become something of a misnomer since the media's used
have changed a lot. i strongly advise against sand for a variety of
reasons. there is a product called black beauty which is a coal slag and
is on a par price wise with sand. it comes in 5 different grits and the
finer works better with small units. also there are shops that do
blasting that use small steel shot. this is very effective at rust
removal and very fast. i have for sale in maryland a tow able 185 cfm
diesel compressor and pressure pot blaster that holds 300 lbs of media.
contact my off list if interested ($2000)
