Hi all
I'm not a gasoline expert but there were different methods used for measuring octane over the years. Currently when you go to a gas pump it usually (at least here in MD) says R + M /2. This was "Research Method + Motor Method / 2. Maybe some manuals were refereing to one or the other versus an average
