That's why I carry a 9mm and an M1 Carbine (with Bayonet, nothing
says stay back than a long pointy stick!).

Oh, the evaluation and appraisal of their need for help goes without
saying. The usually people I help are folks clearly on their own or
with a decidedly clueless look about them. The most recent was the
two senior citizens stopped on a high speed off ramp, at night, with
no hazard lights (batter/alternator problem by the looks). I nearly
ran into the back of them and I expected another driver with less SA
to do so. So I parked somewhere safe, grabbed the mag light and a set
of flares.
