FWIW,

I have both a 3/4 and a 1" impact and the 3/4 doesn't cut it for tight nuts
on my 5 ton truck. Perhaps if I soaked them in penetrating oil, waited a
day, etc. But if you want to get them off now, the 1" is the only way to
go.
