Keith's truck did have a distinct advantage. Pulled me out (7 ton rv - dead
rolling load with zero traction) through the mud all by himself. No problem.

Subject: [MV] Detroit Lockers with Locking Hubs

| After watching and participating in the "Mud Pulls" at Churchville, and
| seeing the additional traction that Keith Boda's pipeline truck had with
| his lockers, I was seriously contemplating the installation of Detroit
| Lockers in all three axles. Certainly air actuators, especially for the
| steering axle appeared to be a necessity. However, why couldn't manual
| locking hubs be installed, along with the Detroit Lockers? Unlocking the
| hubs for road use, and locking them again for off road or ice/snow, etc.
| seems like a reasonable, as well as fairly inexpensive alternative.
|
| Any nays or yeahs from the peanut gallery about this idea?
| Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
