ALL IS NOT LOST

If this were mine -- and I have one -- I would take head off and take to
automotive machine shop - heads are almost impossible to find and they can
get broken piece out without damage. Yes I know is a lot of trouble but
reread the part where I say heads are almost impossible to find == when you
get all the plugs out, purchase new head gasket and NEW head bolts, studs to
reinstall it with.

Mine blew head gasket, replaced head gasket, very soon blew again, I took
head to shop and it was straight, examination of bolts, studs, revealed they
were stretching, put head on torque to specs. check in 24d hours and more
than half were loose,. replaced them, problem solved.

Subject: [MV] HELP!!! Spark plug SNAP!

I bought a 1947 CJ2A and was changing the plugs tonight. First one came off
fine but I noticed they were gunky and rusty. All the rest were stuck. I
wd-40'd and let set and tried again. Still stuck. I then cranked the
engine to warm it and maybe that'd help. NOpe. So I wd-40'd again and let
set.

Tried again and SNAP!!! most of the plug came out but the collar with the
threads are still in there!!! What are my options at this point???

Please say all is not lost!!
