I just got this truck. 1953 REO gas engine. Everything runs fine and
the previous owner said the brakes used to work, but they leaked and
needed refilling. I refilled at the master cylinder and got nothing -
the brake pedal very easily just goes to the floor.
The master cylinder reservoir is filled, but when I disconnected the
feed to the air/hydraulic unit (at the air/hydraulic unit) very little
brake fluid came out. I expected the master cylinder to drain out, but
it didn't, it just stayed full???
Anyways, it seems the brake fluid is not getting from the master
cylinder to the air/hydraulic unit.
Any ideas???
