Hi List,

I've pulled the starter, and the ring gear that I can see looks ok,
although there seems to be a lot
of metal shavings around the area where the starter fits in. The starter
gear doesn't look too bad
but I haven't torn it down yet.

My question is a very simple one. If I am facing the front of my engine,
like I was looking into
the headlights about to be run over by my truck, which way do I rotate
the crank so I can inspect
the rest of the ring gear.

Clockwise or counter clockwise?
