It might be best if you call the DMV in Topeka
yourself. If you're dealing with your County
Treasurer's office, they can be less than helpful.
I live in Brown County, and while the ladies are nice
folk, they are clueless and can be very difficult if
anything is other than the run-of-the-mill stuff. I
bought my M37 from out of state, and while it has a
good title, out of state vehicles require VIN
inspection. The local PD suggested I get a 30 day temp
tag so I could legally drive it in to get this done.
The treas office refused, saying it had to be
inspected first.
Catch 22.
