My Neighbor use to run a 1980 VW Diesel with noting but Jet A from work, he
was a command pilot of a Flying Tiger 747F, he would siphon off the top 3
gallons from each Jerry can lined up along the hanger wall. The cans were
used for draining off the moisture from each fuel cell. When he got to a
1/4 tank he would toss in a half pint of ATF fluid for lubrication of the
rotary fuel pump. Just fer chuckles the rotary fuel pump is the same type
used in the Multifuel, the Pilot put over 400,000 miles on it before he
retired. The only Diesel it saw was what the factory put in it.
