If you are just buying this truck (new to you) I would disconnect
the drive shaft from the xfer to the middle axle AND the short one
between the axles. The reasoning is that if the tires are not matched
in the rear as to size, the axles will be fighting each other thru
the two diffs and the short drive shaft between them. Not good...
Remember: The back end of any US deuce is in AWD ALL the time!
