Dear Combat
It came up only because you reposted it to the list again yesterday.
That is why. Why not let it go. Everyone has had their say and moved
on.

Thanks
Glenn Shaw

Art, (et al)

The truck was advertised as "you wont find one nicer" and sight unseen
isnt accurate he sent several photos and I asked him to describe in
excruciating detail ANY flaws in the truck KNOWING it would behoove both
of us to do so. We had several conversations and I also spoke with the
"restorer" who did the work. He "couldnt remember much about it" as he
"does too many". When I asked if I could speak with the consigner I was
refused. So the burden falls on the seller.

I will say it again....its a NICE truck. But the seller said he had
been driving it regularly and had "gone over it with a fine tooth comb"
dont you think YOU would see large roof dents, multiple tailgate dents,
an inoperative speedometer, ripped seats, and hear a loud valetrain
knock???? If you think thats nitpicking then I wont list the 18 small
things wrong also.......

And as far as "talking him down" all I can say is I paid TOP dollar for
a "you wont find one nicer" truck.

I have bought NUMEROUS vehicles without going to the state to see them
and have NO surprises other than the occasional small thing...no big
deal.

does this sound like I am being unfair?...or simply stating facts?

p.s. I dont know how this came up again as I said my 2 cents , before
but I will defend my word to the end.
