I haven't received any from any of the groups that I subscribe to.

I would be highly suspect of them.

You can click on the "properties" button to see where the messages come from
but this dosen't always work either. Usually the messages that I get from
the groups just say the group address and stop there.

Do you have your e-mail program set to let you preview the message without
opening it?

I am using "outlook express" which allows this. Just remember though that
this is not infallible and will sometimes let a virus or worm in anyway.

Some programs will allow the sender to hide their e-mail address from the
groups for whatever reason.
