Would not hurt to go get your CDL, at least a B but the A is even better. It
will give you a totally new perspective on "driving". I found that not only
did I learn how to drive a semi, and not just drive it as in shifting and
backing (not as easy as you would think), etc, but also driving in a more
general sense of being out there with all the other people on the road. I
found a local community college that had a CDL program, cost me $280, then
took the test in the same truck with the teacher, now third party examiner,
for another $70..
