RE: [MV] Intersting thought on deuce power...

So I guess I can rule that thought out. Common theory says the truck
will run just fine without the in tank pump, as long as it starts. I
would think about the filters, if it wasn't running exactly the same as
when I put the new ones in. Maybe the intake screen restricted in the
tank? Not enough to kill the flow totally? But to restrict it? What
about a bad compensator? Is it possible that the engine is just this
tired? Could valve adjustment lead to any of this? What about poor
pump timing? (think its retarded a half degree more than it should be)

Basically trying to think of everything here...
Mike

Hi Verne,
You may have another problem with your fuel system
that is masked by replacing the in tank fuel pump.
I think that there have been some discussions on the list
regarding these problems. I vaguely remember someone
saying something about air leaks or some such, and
putting in check valves to keep the fuel from draining back
down.
maybe another list member can fill in the details.
