Hi!
Block heaters are for temps below freezing. If you have a problem with
starting at 32 degrees or so I would replace the fuel pressure switch in the
Stanadyne 80 fuel filter base. That is a $20 cure for cold weather
starting.

Hello Stu
I was reading your post on MV about block heaters I was wondering if you
could help me out . I have a 1996 1009 that I picked up in June. The
question is did all 1009 come with a block heaters ? Where would it be
located if it was installed ? Is it a hard job to tackle? I noticed that
the last few cold days here in New York my truck did not start right up. A

block heater would be a great investment. Thanks
Keith
