As a Dr who does medical exams, I am told by the truckers that their medical card is one of the first things they check. I think Bjorn has done just enough to prove to the DOT that he knows he has crossed the line from hobby to commercial and will hold him to the same standard as any other trucker. He was probably lucky that all the scales were closed.

By the way, did you pass without a ticket? I have heard that you usually get a ticket for something if you are lucky enough for a level 1 inspection.

Your medical exam must be within 1 year AND you must have a negative drug
test also, if you drive a commercial vehicle. And the med. card must be
on your person. I have only been checked at 1 weigh station, so far, but
they checked my CDL, and my med card and my drug test slip, along with
every nut and bolt on the rig. The trooper gave me a Level 1 inspection =
