I wonder how one of those would fit in a SUV or how that will curb
completely wasteful plastic packaging or cut down on the overuse of
petro-chemical based pesticides? :-) Remember... oil is what our
ENTIRE economy is based on, which means fixing one rather small piece
of it (i.e. domestic electricity generation) won't fix the bigger
problem.

The truth is that the environmentalists are part of the problem just as
business, government, and the consumer are all parts of the problem.
The fact is NOBODY wants to listen to the other. NOBODY wants to give
up anything for the greater good. The greenies want to implement
dramatic changes without thinking about the practical implications.
Industry wants to actually reverse things and become worse, again
without thinking about the practical implications. Government is
completely inept because it is the representation of the consumer,
which is the most inept of all the parties, and is far too easily
bought and paid for by industry.

Everything is out of balance. Natural laws dictate that, one way or
another, balance will be reestablished. The only question is when and
how painful.

Steve
