I've had good luck with Paypal, but a lot of people don't want to run
more than $1000 or so through paypal as the fees get hefty.

I've had good luck and acceptance with Cashiers Checks drawn on a large
bank (Chase). Even better would be to accept a check from the person
and ask to go to a branch with them and have it cashed. Once cash is in
hand, sign off on the title and go. I did that once with a Ford car I
sold years ago for 5K or so. Doing things long distance is really the
problem. You don't know where they live, they don't know where you
live, unfamiliar territory etc. I guess overseas stuff has to be much
worse than that.

Even cash can be questionable. The local Sam's club has been testing
every $20 bill it receives now since their are so many bad bills
floating around right now.
