Stop and think for a moment. The Asia Pacific
countires namely the Chinese and Japanese governments
are the largest purchasers of US bonds.

They are doing at least three things.

1. Indirectly paying for the US war in Iraq
2. Keeping our economy alive so we buy more of thier
stuff while they create internal demand.
3. Buying influence in the US government.

There are lots of websites devoted to the financial
mess we are in.
