Getting stopped by the law enforcement community

Best one ever I remember was a friend being stopped in pouring rain in a
halftrack on the M1 motorway in the Uk by an enthusistic traffic constable.
UK law dictates that to travel on motorways you must have pneumatic tyres.
Which of course rubber tracks arent.

My friend manged to persuade the officer that the tracks were in fact
inflatable, the valves were only accessible by getting underneath as far up
as the driving axle where "..... if he cared to look diligently and feel
above the differntial housing he was sure Inspector Knacker would find the
pipe to the valve."
The prospect of crawling underneath in a wet motorway hard shoulder didnt
appeal to the forces finest and the M3 was soon on its way again..... the
crew having finally given up trying to supress the gales of laughter.
