Since it's obvious that we at the SIBTA are of above-average intelligence,
we try not to brag about how SMART we are.

| Arthur ... I thought you were CO of the Special Maritime Accident Review
| Team or SMART.

| We had a program similar to the state police sobriety checkpoints that our
| agency did on the waters of the state (Maryland).
|
| The program was called SWAMP or Safer Waters through Alcohol Monitoring
| Patrols.
|
| However, during all of these SWAMP patrols that I had the great pleasure
of
| working ... it rained. Not a lot of fun in a small
| open Boston Whaler.
|
| I had a slip of the lip that got quoted in one of the local papers when a
| reporter asked what SWAMP stood for.
|
| My answer, without proper thought about speaking to the press was:
|
| "Today it means - Soaking Wet A**ed Marine Police."
|
| That earned another reprimand.
