Re: Potential problem with Military Vehicle Magazine subscriptions--AN EXPLANATION

You may be correct but I don't think so. The bottom line is:

1. There were more than one on this list just recently who said they were
not getting their magazine.

2. They went on to say that they had emailed the magazine about this
situation and that they would not respond to their emails.

3. I wrote the email which a copy went to the editor, I'm assuming, and it
got bounced back to me.

4. I too, own a suscription to the magazine and may not have gotten all I
should have gotten.

Now, where have I misunderstood anything so that I can correct any errors I
may have made?

Sonny,

I think that you may have confused John Adams-Graff (Military Vehicles
Magazine Editor) with someone else. John has always been up-front and
honest in his dealings with the list. On the other hand, you may be
thinking about the list moderator. Arthur is also a decent guy, but he
doesn't pay real close attention to the list much anymore, so that may
be why you have the impression that he doesn't respond to emails.

Email you so you can fix the problem? Haven't we read on this list
written by more than one that he would not respond to emails?

Don't panic, gentlemen! Issue 116 is at the printers and will be mailed
to the subscribers on June 15 (bear in mind, most pay for third class
postage, it can take up to three weeks to receive your issue, but
usually--in a non-holiday setting--you should have it within 7 days of
the mail date.).

I have made the offer before and it is still good: If you have problems
with subscription services, just drop me an email or call. It might be a
more effective (and appropriate!) approach then just posting to a public
forum.
If it wasn't for scanning forums, how could the magazine even know you
had a concern? Please feel welcome to contact me anytime. My number and
email are posted in the magazine.

If you are having worries about your subscription, drop me a private
email.
Our parent company is in the process of switching to a subscription
service center (like most magazines today, that isn't handled by the
same office that does the edit, ad sales, design, etc.). It truly is in
the process of transition and will be smooth flowing in about a month.
In the meantime---though there shouldn't be much concern---feel free to
contact me directly with questions regarding your subscription.
