I didn't know that the govt had changed the federal std colors, I
wonder if Aervoe's current 34087 is closer to the original early GPW
color than the "muddy" OD that's so common?

If you fail to find a batch of the color you're looking for and you
have a good eye for color matching you could try to tint the green to
make it a better match to what you need. Add small ammounts of
Rustoleum or similar synthetic enamel and keep checking against your
"standard" color. You should dry your test samples w/ a hair dryer
since the color changes as the paint dries. Adding red to your green
paint will turn it brown.
