PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE THING

I am a complete amuture in the vehicle business, therefore I know very little
about the matter. I have been with this mailing list since it's early days
but many of you may not of heard from me. I couldn't hold my urge to restore
a military vehicle so I went out and bought just about every book you can
find on the subject. I accuired Jane's Military Vehicles and Logistics and
found a great FAV (Fast attack Vehicle). The design is British but they have
a company called Manufacturing Assembly Inc. in Maryland. In the book it
only tells you the companies phone # in Britian (0752766833), so I was
wondering if anyone knows what the phone # is for the company in the US is.
Can you accuire vehicles directly from the company? I know little about this
vehicle though, so if anyone knows anything about the vehicle please contact
me. The FAV is named the Wessex Saker.
Another vehicle I was looking at was the jeep, on which I would fully
restore.
I am leaning towards the M38 but still don't know much about it. I live in
Maine on the coast and in the summer I commute from Bar Harbor to go on
hiking trips. There is a section of highway between the two points and I
hear that the Jeep can only move at 50 MPH. I saw a great idea in a book
called JEEP, It had a picture of a M38 that transported a four star general
therefore it had many features; locking wheels, blackout lights, headlight
guards and a radio. The locking hubs would be great because they would give
the added speed needed on the highway. Is it possible to find or build in
locking hubs? Can Someone tell me about the price of a M38 that is going to
be restored? Where can I find one? Will someone give me some tips on what to
do? I have a vary limited budget but I am determined and motivated to do
such a project. I have never restored a vehicle in my life but there has to
be a first. Will someone tell me where to get parts and so on?

Any Information would be helpful thanks,
Robert Brooks
P.S. I can get as far as Pennsylvania for parts
