Hi Wouter,

You could blow some water trough the water inlet or outlet pipe, and see
what comes out, if it is not that many rust, then you could install the
waterpump and thermostat(housing), put radiator fluid in it, and let
the engine run for sometime to see what the tempeture does, if the
engine runs hot, you should check for leaks, or check thermostat, or
blow cleaner under high pressure through cooling channels, check
radiator or waterpump.
We use 20W50 engine oil, you can buy it at almost every gas station,
for brakefluid you could use "DOT 2 or 3", or silicon-based fluid
(first clean entire brake-system with good cleaner).
For tranfercase etc we use 80W120, runs great in winter and summer.
Before starting the engine after 15 years, you could put a few drops
engine oil into each spark plug hole, let it stand one night, and
start the engine the next day
Good luck with your MB.
