The one thing I see wrong with your approach, Jeff (by "wrong," I mean
something that affects others beside yourself), is that there are a finite
number of these critters. Asuming we want to preserve the history inherent
in these vehicles, we probably want to preserve as many as possible. Now,
if a body is so far gone that a guy can only get one or two usable sections
out of it and has to make or buy the rest, well and good. However, is it
right (now we're into philosophy) to use up a half-dozen jeeps to create
one? Then junk the remains?

Of course: you buy 'em, you do what you want with 'em. but they're not
infinite in number. Consider: eventually, jeeps won't be cheap anymore.
When there are ony a few thousand left (because of attrition), they'll also
COST like those fancy, classic cars.

Just my $.02.
